What
is This New Association?
The Consumer Health Publishers Association (CHPA) is a new international
membership organization of publishers and senior managers who are involved
in producing and distributing consumer health materials. The Association
is Web-based and provides its members with information and resources
in the fast-growing area of consumer health publishing.
Who
Can Join CHPA?
Membership is open to all public, private and non-profit executives
working in consumer health publishing. These include professionals with
responsibilities for consumer health resources in all formatsprint,
electronic, video/audio, etc.
Why
A Web-Based Professional Association?
The Internet provides members with instant-access to important association
information. Members will find job opportunities. discussion groups/bulletin
boards, industry news, and more24 hours a day/7 days a weekat

Who
Organizes CHPA?
CHPA is a membership division of the Health Information Resource Center
(HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health information professionals.
Other well-known HIRC programs/services include the nine year old National
Health Information Awards, the three year old World
Wide Web Health Awards, Family
Health & Fitness Day USA, the new National
Women's Health & Fitness Day, and related consumer health professional
publications and services.
