is the Online Health Association?
The Online Health Association (OHA) is a new international membership
organization of professionals involved in developing, managing and marketing
consumer health information and programs in electronic formats. The
Association is Web-based and provides its members with information and
resources in the fast-growing field of Web-based consumer health information.
Who
Can Join OHA?
Membership is open to all public, private and non-profit professionals
working in these areas. These include staff members with online health
responsibilities for editing/writing and related content development,
Web site development and management, program marketing, research, and
general management, of online health programs.
Why
A Web-Based Professional Association?
The Internet provides members with instant-access to important association
information. Members will find job opportunities. discussion groups/bulletin

Who
Organizes OHA?
OHA is a membership division of the Health Information Resource Center
(HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health information professionals.
Other well-known HIRC programs/services include the nine year old National
Health Information Awards, the three year old World
Wide Web Health Awards, Family
Health & Fitness Day USA, the new National
Women's Health & Fitness Day, and related consumer health professional
publications and services.
